Your primary resource is 'Aether', which you'll gain by defeating enemies and from passive generation every 5 seconds. You spend Aether to summon new Tier-1 Elemons. The game's progression system is tied to your 'Commander Level', which increases as you survive waves. A higher Commander Level increases the probability of higher-tier Elemons appearing in your shop, adding a fun layer of risk-reward management. The audio-visual feedback is super precise, with distinct sounds and effects for merges, ability activations, and enemy defeats, so you always know what’s happening.

Each defeated enemy provides Aether and experience, allowing you to summon more units and level up your Commander abilities. This cycle of summoning, merging, and arranging is the real key to progression.

A fundamental strategy we recommend is focusing on creating one or two high-tier Elemons early on, rather than a wide board of weak ones. In testing, we found that a single Tier-3 Elemon can outperform four Tier-1 Elemons by a factor of 2x. A common mistake we see is overspending Aether early and not saving enough for re-rolls to find the specific Elemon you need to complete a crucial merge. Aim to keep at least 30 Aether in reserve by wave 5.

5. Scout the Next Wave: The icon at the top of the screen shows the primary type of the next enemy wave. If you see a 'Shield' icon, it means they're heavily armored. Prioritize merging into Elemons with high magic damage for that round to optimize your attack.
